Course Outline

This one day course enables people with an existing First Aid qualification that is less than 3 years old, to update their knowledge and skills and revise first aid procedures.  Participants will be updated on changes since their previous first aid course.

A first aid course is invaluable when you consider that it could make the difference to someone's life or death. The time and money it costs to complete a first aid course is priceless.

First aid training provides simple advice on how to manage emergency situations and explain first aid techniques and treatments for the most commonly encountered illnesses and injuries.

Accidents happen without warning but with first aid training and first aid supplies you will be able to care for a stranger, family member or close friend who requires assistance.

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.
