Our Safe Working at Height training course is designed for persons who are required to work at heights or in the vicinity of drops in excess of 2 metres. Participants will develop skills to select height safety equipment and apply it to specific tasks whilst working in accordance with Height Safety Regulations, Australian Standards and relevant codes of practice.

Course Outline

Our Safe Working at Height training course is designed for persons who are required to work at heights or in the vicinity of drops in excess of 2 metres. Participants will develop skills to select height safety equipment and apply it to specific tasks whilst working in accordance with Height Safety Regulations, Australian Standards and relevant codes of practice.

Participants will have an understanding of risk assessment procedures and permits to work at height. They will also undergo practical instruction in the correct use of height safety equipment. This course can be tailored to suit your company’s specific requirements.

Practical scenarios will be completed which will be based upon the individual needs of your workplace, e.g. restraint systems, fall-arrest systems, roof systems etc.

Course Prerequisites

There are no restrictions on entry to this course however students are required to have sufficient numeracy and literacy skills to read and comprehend instruction(s).

Unit of Competency

Participants who successfully complete all components of the course will be issued a Statement of Attainment for the RIIWHS204E Work safely at heights unit of competency.

Written & practical assessment.

Course Delivery & Duration

The course is delivered in a single day. All students are required to be present 15 minutes before course commencement time. Late arrivals may be refused from the course as a failure to attend. Training occurs at Eagle Training Services training facilities located in Darwin & Alice Springs. Participants undertake the course in comfortable, air-conditioned classrooms with the latest IT and audiovisual capabilities. Students are supported through the provision of high quality learning materials and resources.

Metro and remote onsite delivery is also available if you have a suitable venue.

Confirmation of Enrolment

Payment in full, or provision of a purchase order is required to secure a place on a course.

For cancellations/refunds a minimum of 3 business days notice must be provided to Eagle Training Services prior to the commencement of the scheduled course otherwise the full course fee will be payable.
